We have all heard about the problem of plastic pollution in the oceans, but did you know that 70% of plastics in the oceans come from normal household rubbish in parts of the world with no waste management service?

UK charity WasteAid shares recycling skills around the world to create local green jobs and keep plastic out of the ocean. There are lots of ways we can all get involved, starting with the Walk for WasteAid in London on 23 June.

We’ll be raising awareness about one of the biggest causes of plastic pollution, and fundraising for WasteAid in the process. The walk follows a beautiful route through the historic city of London with plenty of sightseeing opportunities.

The Walk for WasteAid is 25km and crosses 16 bridges, so it’s no small feat! I’m hoping you’ll support me with some sponsorship – knowing I’m raising money for a good cause will definitely help me make it to the finishing line. To sponsor me please go to [enter your JustGiving page details].

Thanks very much,
