Where We Work
WasteAid’s programmes are designed to address the systemic challenge of waste. We have developed a range of models and solutions to meet the needs of bustling towns and cities, and remote, rural communities.
In each country where WasteAid works, we undertake a needs assessment to understand the context and barriers to change. We then design our interventions in partnership with government, municipalities and community-based organisations so that they are sustainable in the long-term.
WasteAid does not have a “one size fits all” approach to the waste management challenge. That is why we are keen to work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop the most appropriate solutions, including capacity building, collection systems, recycling and composting, and supporting grassroots innovation.
